On Sunday Area Deputy Chairman John Peach hosted the 29th annual Area Hog Roast, and it was a resounding success. The event was attended by a large number of local members, activists, and elected representatives.
The Hog Roast was an opportunity to celebrate all of the hard work and victories achieved in the Area over the last year, and there were fine speeches from Area Chairman Douglas Hansen-Luke, Area Deputy Chairman John Peach, Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner Darryl Preston, MP for Peterborough Paul Bristow, and Council Leader Wayne Fitzgerald.
Attendees also took part in an auction, with fantastic prizes like lunch in Parliament with Paul Bristow MP, a bottle of whisky signed by the Prime Minister, a tie from the founder of Pizza Express, modelled here by Paul Bristow MP
The Hog Roast raised a significant amount of money, but more importantly it was a brilliant chance to catch up with old friends, and to renew our inspiration for the coming months.
