Area Chairman: Douglas Hansen-Luke.
A target-seat Parliamentary candidate for Walsall North in the 2015 General Election, Douglas supports the Conservatives as the Party who most believe in Britain and the British people. Narrowly defeated in 2015, Douglas is proud that his campaign raised the number of Councillors, saved control of the Borough Council and paved the way for a notable Parliamentary victory in 2017. Douglas campaigned for the former Attorney-General, Lord Lyell, in 1992 and 1997 and then for Boris in London in 2012 and then in 2021 for Festus Akinbusoye, Police & Crime Commissioner for Bedfordshire.
An entrepreneur and investor, Douglas founded Future Planet Capital, a firm that invests in the best companies from top universities targeting global challenges. As well as in London, he has worked in Hong Kong, the Middle East and the United States. He sits as a Global Representative for Conservatives Abroad.
